Will You Wait...

Forever?

Let me tell you about something that happened to me just today.

The Setting

There is an organization that I received a Certification from Years Ago.

They are a Very Good Organization, especially if you are Early in your Career.

They sent out a Survey Today.

As I went through the Survey...

I was reminded of an Article that I wrote nearly a Year Ago.

One that was Award-Winning.

The article was about...

What Makes Me Most Sad In My Work.

The article was Inspired by an Encounter that I had with a Leader from the Organization that sent me the Survey today.

In Another Article, I went more Deeply into what happened during that Encounter...

Which was a Runner-Up in a Writing Competition.

As I responded to the Survey, I thought about Where I Started and Where I am Today...

And Where I would be Today if I had Chosen to Wait for My Growth.

Where I Started

For context, I found the Organization about Seven or so Years Ago.

They were a great part of my Growth at the Time, and I had told myself that if they ever had a Certification Program, I would go for it.

Then, about Six Years Ago, they Announced It...

A Certification Program.

I dove into it and Loved It.

A Year-Long Program.

I did Grow a Lot During It, especially at that point in my Career.

I Completed the Certification, above the Standards Required.

It was Great.

Then, they created a Second Year-Long Level.

And a Third Year-Long Level.

I Successfully Completed All of the Levels...

All Above the Standards Required.

The Initial Realization

But there was something that I began to Notice.

The Second Level was only a Bit of an Upgrade from the Previous.

The Third Level was only "Tiny" Bit More of an Upgrade from that.

It was good, but I was Ready for More.

At the Time, I was Ready for a Fourth Level...

Which I Waited for...

And Waited...

Choosing My Growth

There was a Point where I Decided that I Needed to Dig More Deeply into Psychophysiology and Couldn't Wait Any Longer.

So, I began Other Certifications.

I began Learning and Growing from Others.

Though, I still Waited for Something from this Organization.

A Year Went By.

Nothing.

A Second Year Went By.

Still Nothing.

By this Point, the Organization was Growing, and though there were No Opportunities for me to Grow Directly, I figured I could "Help" them Grow.

I proposed Multiple Ideas.

Tried to Initiate Projects with them.

I even applied for a Part-Time Job with the Hope that I could "Work Up" to help Grow that Organization to the Potential that I saw was Possible.

Nothing from them.

It was an Extreme Letdown at the Time, but my Business was Growing.

The Deeper Realization

So, I Focused in on My Work and Business and Kept Moving Forward.

Eventually, this Organization finally created Something New.

But when I looked at what they had Created...

It was of No Use to Me.

It was Soon After when I had the Encounter with a Leader of that Organization that I Wrote About, and that Encounter was Very Revealing to Me.

Their Eyes were Dead.

There was No Joy or Love in them like they used to have.

I also Noticed that Other Leaders were also Different.

Lost in their Souls.

Dead in their Energy Levels.

I spoke with other Long-Time Members like myself, and they were all whispering a Similar Tune.

Something was Missing.

"That" Couldn't be All There Was.

They were Right, and I Knew It.

I had Known it for Some Time.

But I had Already Tried to Help.

The Entire Experience made me Incredibly Sad...

So Sad that I Needed to Write that Article about my Experience.

It was a way of Helping Me Process the Experience.

The Full Split

After that Experience, I went back to Focusing on My Work.

This Organization Released a Few More Things.

Another Program that was a Backward Step from Where I Am.

An AI Product that Felt Unnecessary and Seemed like an "AI Bandwagon" Product.

Products that I Did Not Want or Need.

This brings me to Today.

I received the Survey asking what they could do for me for the Future.

As I thought about it...

I Realized...

There was Nothing.

I can see where the Company Is and Where they are Focused for the Future.

There is Nothing at this Point they can Make that would make me Come Back.

My Growth Since Choosing Myself

I've been Focused on my Continued Growth for Years.

There is No Program I can Imagine that they could make that would be able to Reach Where I Am Today.

Not that any New Programs they make would be Bad, do not get me Wrong.

They Still Make Great Programs for a Certain Part of People's Journeys.

But I Was Not Going to Stop My Growth and Wait for Them to Take Me Higher.

If I had...

I would Not have Started Writing Daily, which I'm coming quickly up to Day 800 Straight.

I would Not have Received Over 100 Awards and Nominations for My Work.

I would Not be in the Process of Making My Own Live TV Show and Podcast on a TV Network.

I would Not have Seen and Learned all these Incredible Aspects of Psychophysiology that I know today.

I would Not have Started the Business Category of Sageship.

The Reason all these Happened is because I Refused to Wait for My Growth.

If I "Had" Waited...

Well, I would have Waited "Years" for My Growth, only to come to Today and "Still" Be Waiting.

Do Not Hold Your Growth Back For Others

Here's what You Must Understand...

If You "Wait" for Your Growth...

You'll Be Waiting...

And Waiting...

For an Uncomfortable Amount of Time.

If You Wait...

The Potential You "Could" Achieve...

Will be Slipping Away Further and Further.

How Long Will You Wait For Your Growth?

Will You Wait Months?

Years?

Decades?

Your Entire Life?

This May Be How Long You Will Have To Wait if You Allow Others to Determine When You Can Grow.

Never Let Others Determine Your Growth.

Your Potential is at Stake.

There is a part of me that would “Love” for them to Grow and Build Something that could Really Help Me Grow Further.

Yet, I cannot Wait for that.
