Is DeepSeek Revealing A Flaw In AI... Or In Business Models?
A Different Perspective On What We Are Seeing
It has been "All" the Talk recently.
DeepSeek.
In some ways, it sounds like a Tale of David and Goliath, though Spirituality and Morality are Not Involved.
What DeepSeek Has Done
An Open Source Tiny Chinese AI Company...
Seemingly Out of Nowhere...
Releases a Product Able to Attain Similar Results to the Largest AI Companies...
In a Fraction of the Cost...
With Vastly Inferior Resources...
This has sent Shockwaves through the world of AI Businesses.
Nvidia lost $600 Billion in Market Value Alone.
The US AI Industry, as a whole, is said to have lost $1 Trillion in Value.
The Voices of People Doubting Whether AI is Really "All" It has been Cracked Up to Be is Growing.
It seems that some Flaws are being Revealed by the AI Industry...
But the Question Is...
What are the Flaws?
The Wrong Assumption
Many people assume that the Flaws exist within AI itself.
Their Belief is that DeepSeek has "Figured Out" Something about AI that other Companies have Missed.
But here's the thing...
DeepSeek's Product isn't "Significantly" Better than other AI Products.
Is it Put Together in a Way to Make It More Feasible to Build and Grow from a Resource Perspective?
Yes.
But from what people are Reporting, DeepSeek has the Exact Same Flaws that the Rest of the AI Industry has had.
You could say the Product is Not Truly "Better", just "More Efficient".
It does Not Appear that DeepSeek is any closer to the "Holy Grail" known as AGI.
Despite the Claims that Exist from Large Tech Leaders and Tech Hopefuls, We Still have not seen Anything "Close" to the Mythical AGI.
Nothing in the AI world has Demonstrated True Intelligence.
Nothing in the AI world has Demonstrated True Creativity.
AI still seems to be in Nearly the Exact same place it was 2 Years Ago.
It might be a bit "Prettier" today, maybe it has put on a Nice Tie, perhaps Faster, but it is Essentially the Same Entity it has been since then.
So, if the Flaw is Not "AI" Itself...
What is the Flaw we are Seeing?
The Real Flaw That DeepSeek Has Revealed
I read an interesting Article Today...
It has a perspective that points to something similar to what I Believe...
Something that I've been Talking about in Different Capacities for Over a Year Now...
The Flaw that DeepSeek has Revealed is Today's Most Popular Business Model.
What Model is that?
Profit-At-All-Costs.
The Article I read termed it "Post-Capitalism" or "Late-Stage-Capitalism".
We could argue about the Semantics all day if we wanted, but this is the Key that must be Understood...
The Reason that DeepSeek is sending Shockwaves through the AI Industry is that it Reveals the Problems with the Profit-At-All-Costs Model.
Pushing More and More Money into a Problem Does Not Create True Solutions.
Driving Profits Higher at the Expense of People Does Not Create Innovation.
Pushing New Products Onto Customers They Do Not Want Is Not Success.
Denying Access to the Best Technology, as the US has Aimed to do to China through gaining a Stranglehold of the Chip Market, Does Not Guarantee Results.
There are Similarities we can see between DeepSeek and the Wright Brothers.
Both had Limited Money to Utilize.
Both had Limited Access to Resources Available.
Yet, Both Accomplished Things that Others Believed Impossible.
But here's the thing...
China’s Model Is Not Exemplary
China's Policies Around Business and Employees are Not Good.
I've Discussed the Challenges that China has Created through its 996 Policies.
Despite DeepSeek Revealing the Problems with the Profit-At-All-Costs Business Model...
China as a Whole has "Significant" Business Model Problems themselves.
DeepSeek Succeeded as a Product of Necessity.
It has Not Succeeded as a Masterpiece in Business.
DeepSeek is Showing that the Profit-At-All-Costs Model has hit a Breaking Point.
Everyone Knows It.
Leaders Know It.
Employees Know It.
Investors Know It.
The Needed Solution
The Solution is Not to "Go Down with the Ship".
The Future Needs to be Designed Today, and AI is Not the Future.
The Future Exists with a New Business Model.
One that Overcomes All the Problems Existing Within Today's Business Models.
The Solution is Regenerative Legacy Design.

So, how does a Regenerative Legacy Design overcome the Challenges?
We Know that the Profit-At-All-Costs Model is Breaking.
However, Pushing a Solution through Desperation like DeepSeek has done is Not Ideal Either.
Just because Something Appears to “Work”, Doesn’t Mean it Will in the Long Term and Doesn’t Mean there are No Better Solutions.
There are so Many Businesses that Fail because they had a Solution that “Worked” them Straight into Oblivion.
So, what Needs to be Overcome?
