Business Leaders are getting Desperate.

What Is Being Sought
What is it Leaders are Looking for?
Dedication.
Appreciation of Work.
Innovation.
Passion.
Improved Decision Making.
Faster Problem Solving.
Increased Productivity.
Desire to Grow and Improve.
But, Overwhelmingly, All of these are Decreasing.
Today’s Reality
We are seeing some of the Lowest Levels of Engagement.
Employees are Showing They Are Less and Less Dedicated.
Innovation is Completely Lacking, Despite Billions of Dollars being Spent on It.
Decision Making is getting Pushed back to Leaders Instead of being Spread Among Teams, making the Leader an Extreme Bottleneck.

What makes "All" of this Even "More" Strange is that All of these things that Leaders "Want" are things that Humans, by Nature, "Desire".
We "Want" to be Dedicated to Things.
We "Want" to Appreciate what we do, feel Passionate, Grow, and Improve in our Lives.
We "Want" to be Innovative, Enjoy Solving Problems, and Getting Things Done Successfully.
So Why?
If these are All things that We, as Humans, Naturally Desire and Want...
Why are they All Decreasing?
How could it be that Leaders, Overwhelmingly, are Unable to Gain Access to these Natural Aspects of Humanity?
Not only from those they Lead, but from Themselves as well.
Understanding Second Order Thinking
Well, we can Understand It from the Idea of Second Order Thinking.
All Second Order Thinking means is that when we do "something", there will be another "reaction" that occurs or a "Second Order Consequence" that we should think about before acting.
So, let's say that you get Angry at Someone.
If you Only do First Order Thinking, you may believe that Punching the Person is a Great Idea.
If you do Second Order Thinking, you Realize that Punching Someone could turn into an Assault Charge which then becomes a Legal Headache.
So, the Second Order Thinker comes up with a Different Plan to Achieve a Different and More Desirable "Second Order Consequence".
But what does this have to do with What Leaders want and Success?
The Second Order Thinking Misperception
All the Things that were Mentioned Above...
Dedication...
Appreciation of Work...
Innovation...
Passion...
Improved Decision Making...
Faster Problem Solving...
Increased Productivity...
Desire to Grow and Improve...
Every single one of these Leaders is Treating these "As If" they are First Order Consequences.
If I Do X, Then I Will Get One of these Results.
So Leaders Create "Plans" to Attempt to Achieve These...
But they All Fail.
Why?
These are Not First Order Consequences.
They are All Second Order Consequences.
Every plan to "Get" These are Doomed To Fail because they are Missing the "True" First Order Consequence/Result Needed to "Achieve" these Second Order Consequences.
So what "Causes" All of these Second Order Consequences?

Flow States.
This is the Psychophysiological State where We Perform Our Best and Feel Our Best.
Flow States "Achieve" All of these Things!
This is where it becomes Worse for Leaders and Businesses Though...
By Creating Plans that "Fail" to Account for Flow States...
Leaders have, often Unintentionally, Completely "Blocked" Flow States.
What does that Mean?
Their Plans are "Literally" Making their Goals Impossible.
How?
Well, what we are Seeing is that the Plans being Created are Resulting in what Scientists consider the "Opposite" of Flow States...
