The Largest Challenge We Face On The Road To Success
What Frequently Creates The Struggles We Experience
The Road to Success often Feels like a Struggle.
It is something we All Experience.
The "Specifics" are usually Different from Person to Person.
Yet, it can be described like a Snowflake.
Seeing Struggle As A Snowflake
All Snowflakes have Unique Patterns.
Each One Different from the Next.
But All Snowflakes are made of Water.
Struggle is Similar.
That Patterns of Struggle Appear Differently.
Yet, what Underlies the Struggle, the "Water", is Often the Same.
It is also that Metaphorical Water that is often the Largest Struggle we Face.
What is that Struggle?
The Struggle We Face
The Stories We Tell Ourselves.
Now, I know this may "Sound" Simple.
If we just "Create" a New Story, or Decide to "Tell" the Story Differently, that will help us overcome that Struggle...
Right?
Not Necessarily.
See, something that I have been coming to learn and understand is that the Stories that Exist within Us have different Layers to Them.
The Different Formats Of Stories
Think of it as Different Formats a Story can be Told In.
If we take a Story in the Outside World, let's say your Favorite Fairy Tale...
You could Read It in a Book.
You could Listen to it in an Audio Format.
You could See it as a Movie.
You could Experience it as a Play.
Each Format works Slightly Differently.
Just because you've Read the Book Version does not mean that the Movie is the Same.
There are Different Ways that the Story is Understood Depending on the Format.
In a Book, you may See Pictures of the Scenery, but the Thoughts are Expressed as Words on a Page.
In a Movie, the Character may "Speak" even though their Lips do not Move to Express their Thoughts, and Emotions are conveyed through Facial Expressions.
In an Audio, the Scenery is Created with Words that are Descriptive because there is No Visual Component.
In a Play, Movements are Often Dramatized and become Artistic, becoming more Representative rather than Literal.
Every Format works Slightly Differently.
Even if the Story is the "Same" Story, it is Understood and Told in Different Ways.
When it comes to the Stories that We Tell Ourselves, it is Very Similar.
The Different Formats Of Struggles
The Difference is Experienced through the Four Different Brain Systems.
The Brain.
The Neurocardiology (Heart-Brain).
The Neurogastroenterology (Gut-Brain).
The Nervous System.
Each has a Way of Understanding the Stories we Tell Ourselves.
Just because we have Processed and Understood the Story in "One" of the Brain Systems does Not mean that we Understand the Story in the "Other" Systems.
I know many people who have come to Understand Aspects of their Stories from a Logical Perspective.
Logic is an Expression of the Brain's Understanding of a Story.
Yet, what we often call "Subconsciously", the Stories We Tell Ourselves continue to Play Out in a Different System and Format.
It is like saying that I will Stop Reading the Book Version of a Story, but simultaneously have the Audio, Movie, and Play Running in the Background.
I have seen this Play Out in Many Ways.
You see it in how People will Avoid talking about Certain Stories.
It can be Felt in "How" People Say Things.
There is also the way where people will completely Shut Off certain Aspects of Themselves to Avoid certain Parts of a Story.
The Common Version of this is where a Person Completely Shuts their Emotions Off as they go Into a Story.
Their Eyes go Dark.
Their Face becomes Robotic.
The Story is still Occurring Subconsciously, but the Brain has Cut Off the Connection.
There is another version of this where we Run from One System's Version of a Story and Seek Solitude in Another System's Stories.
When people "Eat" Away their Emotions, this is Exactly what is Occurring.
They are Running from a Story Told in One System, and Seeking the Story they Experience through the Gut-Brain.
Overcoming The Struggle
If we are to Overcome the Stories of our Past, and Write New Stories, we must Learn to Understand All of the Formats that these Stories Play Out As.
We must Come to Understand how the Different Brain Systems Communicate these Stories.
We must Unite these different Formats together to Weave the Story we Seek.
When these different Stories are Unified together, this becomes the Path to Success.

So, we now know that these different Brain Systems work like Different Formats of Stories.
In order to Better Understand How Stories are Told, we have to Understand the Format.
Just as a Good Movie Director can take a Book and “Translate” it into a Movie.
We must begin to “Understand” the Formats so we can Process them Correctly and Tell the Stories “We” Want Told in All of the Systems.
We are going to Look at How each System Communicates in order to Accomplish This.
Then, we will discuss the “Real” Challenge with these Different Styles of Communication.
